Andreas Weinand - Colossal Youth

Andreas Weinand - Colossal Youth

Between 1988 and 1990, photographer Andreas Weinand accompanied a group of young friends living in Essen, Germany, following their lives in the 25 full-page, colour images seen here. Carefree and full of rebellious youthful angst, they offer an intimate portrait at a critical moment in time. As a photographer, Weinand devotes his work to long-term documentations, offering a “reflection on social identities within the private and public spheres”. The book won silver for the Deutscher Fotobuchpreis 2012. Published by Peperoni Books (Berlin).

60 pages, 23 x 33 cm, paperback, Peperoni Books (Berlin).
